Description: a simple but effective jutsu in which the user learns to open their bodies to electricity and forcibly take it in with out damage, this is more than electrical resistance but rather a means by which the user can “charge” themselves with lightning and use it as a substitute for chakra, this technique is required to perform some higher level lightning jutsu and can actually strengthen the user if they are exposed to large amounts of electricity

Description: A rare cloning technique in which the clone takes in a large amount of air and, with a simple transformation jutsu puffs out in to a blackened cloud, this can fly to the user’s directions and can be used in lightning jutsus that require clouds, a signature move of higher ranking cloud village ninja

Description: a technique used for transportation, after the user creates a lightning cloud clone they literally hop on top of it and use it to fly about, though this requires some amount of chakra control to stay above the surface of the cloud for the entire time.

Description: a simple jutsu used to take on multiple opponents, a current is transferred though the air or a conductor to the target and shocks them before “jumping” to the next nearest living body using chakra as a catalyst, this keeps going until it strikes all bodies of like chakra, this allows the user to attack a clone and the ordinal simultaneously

Description: A lightning jutsu in which the user literally cancels the electrical impulses in their body that would have been sent to the pain receptors, the effect allows the user to “turn off” pain at will making them seem particularly terrifying, however this technique is a double edged sword as the user will not feel their bodies being damaged and can sustain much greater damage from surprise attacks and it is typically used only when being interrogated or as a means of testing weather something is illusionary pain or real pain

Description: A jutsu that uses lightning chakra to forcibly “jump start” the sensory receptors of the body making it the opposite of the painless warrior technique, the result is a phenomenon that occurs when ones senses are forced to their absolute limit, to the user time appears to slow down to a crawl making ordinary movements seem sluggish and dull, ordinarily the body cant keep up with the large amount of sensory input and their movements are also slowed down but if this technique is used when the user is performing a high speed technique it allows them to react to their surroundings as if they were only moving at a normal speed making techniques that would otherwise be very easy to avoid in to complete jutsus

Description: this jutsu has a reputation for being immensely horrific but is very simple to perform, throwing down a hand seal the user touches the victim on a desired location and, using a small amount of lightning chakra charges the pain receptor neurons in that area to their limit resulting in the most possible pain that area can be in, though this does no actual damage to the victim they can begin to physiologically break down if the technique is performed to many times in succession or for to long though that is a mater of willpower, the jutsu can only cause pain in an area for so long until that area is numbed for the same amount of time due to sensory overload (which is to say this jutsu has a cool down equivalent to the amount of time it was used for)

Name: Lightning reflex grip technique

Description: This jutsu sounds almost counterintuitive in concept, the user shocks their own muscles causing them to become paralyzed for a very short period of time, however the bases of this technique is that electric shocks cause muscles to tense as much as they possibly can, the user makes use of this principle to gain tremendous strength in one limb for critical instants during battles timing it at the apex of strikes or tensing limbs to enhance their blocking ability, and even allows for a bone crushing grip but the technique is however quite painful to use and strains the muscles over time

Name: Double weight lightning charge skill

Description: a rather strange jutsu in which the user strikes the victim sending a wave of electricity though them, however they don’t feel any different or notice any change until the jutsu takes effect, the victim’s body has been “charged” with electricity and finds that their movements have become very difficult, as if their bodies have doubled in weight suddenly, this is because the user’s body has had an overdose of electricity but this will go away after a short period of time (four posts)

Name: Lightning strike armor technique

Description: the culmination of the lightning armor technique, absorption technique, and wrath of the heavens jutsu, from a lightning cloud existing prior or created by some other means the user calls down a large bolt of lightning to their own body, rather than being damaged the user absorbs all this lightning and holds it around them in a layer of electricity, this behaves exactly like the lightning armor increasing speed, reflexes, taijutsu offensive power as well as providing a defensive layer around the body but uses far less chakra as the user did not have to generate all of the electricity themselves, another advantage is that the user can hold it for much longer periods of time as they do not have to emit lightning and can focus on regulating it, however aside from having a condition that needs to be met (the lightning cloud) the technique is weakened by each lightning jutsu (to the point where an A rank jutsu would use up all of it and then some) the user performs while in that state and can not be “switched on and off” nearly as easily

Name: Lightning strike travel jutsu

Description: A technique that requires a storm cloud, the user allows themselves to be struck by lightning and is “pulled” by that strike up in to the cloud then “rides” a second lightning strike down to somewhere far away, this process takes only a few seconds and can be used to allow the user to cross very great distances very quickly but is very taxing on the level of chakra and somewhat dangerous as the user lands at very high speeds from rather high up

Name: Electromagnetic kunai jutsu

Description: The user charges a kunai with raiton chakra to make it an electromagnet before throwing it, the result is a kunai that seeks metal (such as the enemy ninja’s headband) or “pulls” metal forward with it (such as other metal projectiles) and has various uses in and out of battle

Description: Creates a current of lightning which stays on the ground or a metal object that the user swings around to deal damage to multiple targets by swinging it over a large area

Description: By flooding their chakra in to a weapon the user is able to give it increased cutting power and the properties of electricity, this differs from an electric current because the user is able to morph the chakra to extend the range and shape of the weapon allowing the user to use the “solid” extensions on a kunai as a sword ect

Description: after coming in contact with the user the victim suddenly loses control over all of their reflexes causing their bodies to seize up and convulse uncontrollably as if they were having a seizure, this is because the user channeled raiton chakra in the victims spinal cord temporarily overloading their reflexes

Name: Gathering bolt jutsu

Description: Using a wave of eclectic energy the user magnetizes all metal debris or weapons in the area to a current of electricity which is then used to “throw” them all at high speeds at a target, this is followed by the bolt of lightning itself to throw the victim off guard, often they block or avoid the debris only to be hit by the lighting

Description: A very rare technique which focuses on the raw heat of lightning to combust air, its common knowledge that lightning strikes can start fires but this technique uses that principal to defend against wind techniques, discharging a small but very very powerful spark of electricity between the fingertips and sending it out at a target such as branches from trees, plants, paper or even in some cases directly at a wind technique the user ignites a sudden fire and throws it in to the wind technique to cancel it out completely, this does not effect higher stage wind techniques or cancel out multiple wind techniques that are not in close proximity to each other and uses to much chakra to use multiple times in scission, the prefer method of use is igniting a torch or small area and using it against wind techniques but the blast area is so wide the user will undoubtedly be singed by the flames

Name: Hotaru no shin'ya no pafōmansu wa, gijutsu o hibana (Waltz of the fireflies midnight spark technique)

Description: The user charges up chakra in their hands before sending out a wave of tiny electric sparks in all directions filling a radius around the user floating in the air like a field of dancing fireflies, these are totally harmless at first and can be made to hang in their air for a while if needed but when the user throws down a hand seal the sparks all discharge at once resulting in an instantaneous current of electricity running between every spark catching everything in the radius in a web of lightning electrocuting any obstacles from all sides, the technique is almost impossible to doge completely and the currents converge on anything they shock before exploding in to electric energy the technique does however take a while to set up and is very obvious (a full post to set up)

Description: Gathering a massive amount of chakra in one hand the user produces a ball of ultra concentrated lightning in the palm of a hand and, pushing off in a strait line at unparallel speeds drives it in to a target with a very devastating drill like effect which is often considered lethal, this is a very uncommon assassination technique as the speed is so great the user wouldn’t normally be able to keep up with it and could potently die very easily from counterattack, normally doijutsu is used to counter this but the lightning mind technique is in this case employed to force the senses to their absolute limit and allow the user to keep track of things around them, because it uses so much chakra the chidori is limited to a very small number of uses per day (thread) depending on the reserves and rank of the user (3 times in Ks case) using it any greater amount will result in death.
